Through a sub-contract with Kvaerner
SNC-Lavalin Offshore (KSLO) and SaiWoo Contracting,
Martec carried out riser design and analysis for all
of the ExxnMobil Tier II platforms, including Alma,
South Venture and Compression.
The risers are typically analysed for the following
conditions:
- Storm
- Functional
- Ship impact
- Fabrication yard and in-place hydro-tests
- Blow-down
The software used for the riser analysis is CAESAR
II, Pipe Stress Analysis Software.
