Martec achieves ISO 9001:2000 certification
Halifax, Nova Scotia - January 5, 2005

Martec Limited, a leading Canadian engineering firm specializing in advanced engineering simulation technology, announced today that it has received certification to the ISO 9001:2000 quality management standard. The Quality Management Institute (QMI), acting as an independent third party ISO registrar, completed an audit of Martec’s Halifax and Gatineau offices and recommended certification to the ISO 9001:2000 standard.

“ISO certification is a significant milestone for Martec, and reflects our commitment to providing clients with the highest quality engineering services and simulation software,” said James P. Warner, Martec’s Chief Operating Officer. “Achieving this goal is a credit to the dedication and hard work of every Martec employee.”

The ISO 9001:2000 standard is an internationally recognized quality assurance standard developed by the International Organization of Standardization. The ISO 9001:2000 standard is designed to provide a basic framework and guidelines for companies to establish a foundation for consistent quality management to continuously improve customer satisfaction. To be certified to this standard, Martec has implemented a comprehensive quality management system covering all operational processes that influence the quality of Martec services and software.
