Computational Geometry Specialist

Summary: In response to continued growth, Martec has an immediate opening for the position of Computational Geometry Specialist. The successful candidate will be a key part of the software engineering team responsible for development of Martec’s next generation of marine lifecycle management software.
Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics.
Experience: The applicant must have a strong theoretical background in the field of computational geometric modeling and must also be able to demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in developing or actively using a least one industry-standard geometry kernel. The applicant should have strong C or C++ programming skills. Experience with OOD/OOP, Microsoft .NET framework, and graphics API’s such as OpenGL, DirectX, and HOOPS 3D would be considered an asset. Experience with CAD/CAE/CAM software, particularly in the field of ship structures’ modeling is also desirable. The applicant must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
This is a full time position based out of Martec’s head office in Halifax.
