Graphical User Interface Developer

Summary: In response to continued growth, Martec has an immediate opening for the position of Graphical User Interface Developer. The successful candidate will be a key part of the software engineering team responsible for development of Martec’s next generation of marine lifecycle management software.

Education: Bachelors Degree or College Certificate in Computer Science

Experience: The applicant must have demonstrable experience working with the Microsoft .NET framework in general and developing Graphical User Interfaces using Windows Forms in particular. Experience working with .NET 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005 is preferred. Applicants must also have a good understanding of OOD and should demonstrate experience with OOP in C++ (managed and unmanaged). Other desirable skills and experience: programming with C# or Visual Basic; GUI development with Microsoft Foundation Classes; experience with graphics API’s such as OpenGL, DriectX, or HOOPS 3D; experience with geometric kernels such as ACIS; engineering, math, or scientific background. The applicant must also have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to work well individually or as part of a team.

This is a full time position based out of Martec’s head office in Halifax.
